Smart Tracking Feature for Manual Label Addition

The Smart Tracking feature is designed for users who prefer to manually add shipping labels for their orders. Once a label is added, Shipturtle automatically tracks the order across different shipment statuses, including ready to ship, in transit, delivered, cancelled, and more. This feature is available for users working with over 600 shipping partners and provides seamless tracking updates without needing to manually check the status for each order.

How to Activate Smart Tracking

  1. Go to Settings > Subscription and Billing.

  2. Locate the Smart Tracking add-on and activate it.

After activation, proceed to select your shipping partners:

  1. Go to Settings > Shipping Partners.

  2. Under Smart Tracking, select your shippers.

How Smart Tracking Works

  1. Navigate to Orders > Forward Orders.

  2. For any order where you wish to manually add a tracking label, click the Shipper dropdown.

  3. Select Add Tracking Manually from the options.

  4. A popup will appear where you can select the shipper and enter the AWB (Air Waybill) number.

Optional fields include:

  • Estimated Cost: Add the cost associated with the shipment.

  • Tracking URL: Provide a link for customers to track the shipment.

Once added, Shipturtle will automatically track the order through its various statuses, keeping you updated without any additional manual input. This includes statuses such as "Ready to Ship," "In Transit," "Delivered," and "Cancelled."

1. How do I activate the Smart Tracking feature?
To activate Smart Tracking, go to Settings > Subscription and Billing, and activate the Smart Tracking add-on. Afterward, navigate to Settings > Shipping Partners and select your preferred shippers under the Smart Tracking section.

2. Can I manually add tracking for all orders?
Yes, you can manually add tracking for any order. Simply go to Orders > Forward Orders, select the shipper from the dropdown, and choose Add Tracking Manually. From there, you can enter the AWB number and other optional details.

3. How are the tracking statuses updated?
Once you manually add the tracking information, Shipturtle will automatically update the order's status across various stages such as "Ready to Ship," "In Transit," "Delivered," "Cancelled," etc. These updates will happen in real-time without the need for manual intervention.

4. What are the optional fields when adding tracking?
You can optionally add the Estimated Cost and a Tracking URL when entering tracking information manually. These fields are useful for providing more detailed information to your customers.

5. Will I get notifications when the order status changes?
Yes, Shipturtle will automatically update the order status when it transitions through different stages (e.g., in transit, delivered, etc.). You can track these changes within the order details.


Troubleshooting

1. I can't see the Smart Tracking option in my account. What should I do?
Make sure you have activated the Smart Tracking add-on. To do this, go to Settings > Subscription and Billing and check if the add-on is enabled. If it's not, activate it and proceed to select your shipping partners under Settings > Shipping Partners.

2. I added tracking manually, but the status isn't updating.
If the tracking status isn’t updating, ensure that the correct AWB number was entered and that the shipper is supported by Smart Tracking. You can verify this in Settings > Shipping Partners to ensure the shipper is selected under the Smart Tracking section.

3. The tracking URL I entered isn't working.
If the tracking URL isn’t functioning properly, double-check the link for accuracy. Ensure that it is the correct URL provided by the shipper. You may also want to confirm with the shipping partner if they support external tracking URLs.

4. I entered tracking manually, but the status shows incorrect information.
If the status is incorrect, verify that the AWB number and shipper details were entered correctly. If issues persist, contact the shipping partner to confirm that the tracking number is valid and properly recognized within their system.

5. My order is stuck at a particular status (e.g., "Ready to Ship"). What should I do?
If an order is stuck at a particular status, check if the shipper has provided updates for that stage of the shipment. Sometimes external delays from the carrier can affect the status update. You can also manually refresh the order details within Shipturtle for any changes.
