Shipturtle’s booking feature allows you to manage rentals and appointment-based services within a Shopify store, making it suitable for marketplaces that offer bookings, rentals, or appointments alongside product sales.

Let's understand the feature in detail:

  1. Rental feature: The rental feature enables customers to rent products for a specified time period instead of purchasing them. This is commonly used for equipment, vehicles, clothing, or other items that are needed temporarily.

    How it Works:

Customers select a product and choose a rental duration (e.g., 1 day, 1 week, etc.).

The system blocks the item for the chosen time period to prevent overbooking.

Businesses can charge a rental fee based on the duration and can also include security deposits, late fees, or damage fees if needed.

    a. Number of bookings per Slot.

    b. Duration of Slot

    c. Break Time before Next Slot: This is the gap time between two slots. Typically this is used to account for the time required to get an item ready before the next booking.

    d. Cut-off days: First day (from today) that will be available in the date picker. Set to 0 for today, 1 for tomorrow etc.

    e. Future days: Maximum number of days to allow from today. Must be greater than or equal to Cutoff Days.

  2. Appointment feature: The appointment feature allows customers to book a time slot for a service, such as consulting, beauty services, medical appointments, or training sessions.

    How it Works:

    1. Customers choose an available date and time for the service.

    2. The system manages time slots and prevents double bookings.

    3. Payment can be taken at the time of booking or afterward, depending on the service.
