Create rules to automatically assign shippers to orders

Shipping automation is an add-on that allows you to create rules to automatically assign shippers to orders. Rules are applied from top to bottom, so if a rule is true at the top, it will be applied to the order and the rules below will be skipped. If none of the rules are true for an order, the default shipper will be selected.

Note: The default shipper is assigned to new orders if they don’t satisfy any shipping automation rules. You can set the default shipper in the Shipping Partners settings.

Buy the Shipping Automation Add-on

  • Make sure you have activated this add-on. You can activate it from Settings > Subscription and Billing.

  • Connect with the shipping partners from the Shipping Partners settings.

Shipping Automation Key Elements:

Rules: Rules combine different conditions and a target shipper, automatically assigning the shipper once all order conditions match the rule.

Conditions: Conditions involve setting parameters and their respective values based on the parameter type. Parameters can include vendor, order value, warehouse, etc.

Creating a Rule:

1. Go to Settings → Shipping Partners → Shipping Automation.

2. Click on the "Add Rule" button.

3. Provide a title for the rule and select the shipper you want to associate with it.

4. Add a combination of conditions based on your requirements.

5. Click on the "Save" button to save the changes.

Note: You can change the rule's shipper at any time if needed.

Add Conditions:

1. Click on "Add Condition".

2. Select the parameter from the dropdown menu.

3. Choose the values (e.g., order value, weight) or select the operator (IN or =) for parameters like vendor, category, etc.

4. Click on the "Update" button to save the condition.

5. Click on the "Save" button to save the changes.

Note: You can add or remove conditions from existing rules at any time.

Rearranging Rule Priority

Rules are applied from top to bottom, but you can rearrange them as needed by dragging them to the desired position.
